Branislav Ivanovic is set to leave Chelsea before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday and a deal has been agreed with Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg, Sport Express report.

What's the word?

After nine successful years at Stamford Bridge, Branislav Ivanovic looks set to call time on his career with Chelsea after becoming a bit-part player in the squad following Antonio Conte's appointment in the summer.

Having given years of dedicated service to the West London outfit, including winning the Champions League, Roman Abramovich is prepared to allow the defender to leave on a free transfer- with Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg offering a two-and-a-half-year deal.

However, Ivanovic does still have offers in England- but Chelsea would demand a fee if he was to move to a rival side.

Who else is in for him?

The Birmingham Mail says West Brom have joined the hunt for the experienced full-back and could launch a swoop before the transfer window closes next Tuesday, whilst he's also been linked with West Ham, Everton and Leicester City.

Ivanovic's young family are settled in London so relocating to Russia may be difficult, which increases the likelihood of a Premier League stay. However, it will all come down to what Chelsea's demands are- although they're not likely to be immense.
