Juventus plan £20m raid for Chelsea midfielder

Ramires could have played his last Premier League game for Chelsea, with Juventus eyeing a £20m summer move for his signature, according to reports from The Express.

The Brazilian midfielder was slapped with a four-match domestic ban for violent conduct after an incident with Sunderland’s Sebastian Larsson, which has ruled him out for the remainder of the Blues’ title push – including the vital clash with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The suspension will then carry over into next season, but before then he may well be a Juve player.

The Old Lady have reportedly lodged a £20m bid to lure the energetic enforcer to Turin, and are hopeful that Chelsea will accept.

Although Ramires is a key player at Stamford Bridge, there is talk that Jose Mourinho is plotting a huge summer re-shuffle, which could see the sales of top names to fund major additions.

The South American’s disciplinary record may count against him – this is now his third ban of the campaign – with the club already possessing a wealth of midfield options.

Real Madrid are also keen on Ramires, and could mount a rival offer for his services if Chelsea indicate that the player will be sold.
