Kenedy has told Brazilian website UOL that he wants to have a successful future at Chelsea when his loan spell at Newcastle United comes to an end.

What's the word?

The Brazilian caught the eye last season when he spent the campaign on loan at Newcastle, and he returned to St James' Park this summer.

In total, Kenedy has made 17 appearances for the North-East outfit, scoring two goals and registering two assists.

The left-sided player joined Chelsea from Fluminense in 2015, but has made just 27 first-team appearances.

In that time, Kenedy has scored three goals and bagged three assists, but while being on Chelsea's books, he has had three loan spells.

While speaking to UOL, the young player revealed that he wants to become a "champion" at Stamford Bridge rather than move on elsewhere.

Should Kenedy stay loyal?

There is no denying that the winger has talent, but Chelsea are notorious for not bringing through young players.

The Blues have plenty of potential stars on their hands, but the route to the first team is tricky.

More often than not, academy graduates move elsewhere, and at this moment, it would be tough for Kenedy to grab a spot in Maurizio Sarri's XI.

The Brazilian should be praised for having such high ambition, but he should also be realistic.

He may have to move on to pastures new, establish himself and then potentially return to Chelsea.
