Key Italy international now considering Chelsea move amid Conte talk

Antonio Candreva is considering a move away from Lazio this summer and will be tempted by Chelsea should Antonio Conte take control at Stamford Bridge, according to reports from Il Tempo.

The Azzurri coach is thought to be the favourite to succeed Guus Hiddink in west London at the end of the season amid suggestions that he’s ‘agreed a deal in principle’ to step into the dugout after EURO 2016.

Judging the by level of links between Conte and potential signings to have broken since the development with Chelsea it seems that the 46-year-old will be overseeing an overhaul at the club, and reports claim that Candreva is open to joining his international coach.

The wide midfielder is thought to have grown unsettled in Rome and was wanted by the Blues-linked boss during his spell in charge of Juventus.

Candreva has since been a regular under Conte in the Italian set-up and seems to be a player the tactician favours, with the winger himself holding mutual feelings.
