Man City striker reveals Chelsea summer bid

Manchester City striker Enes Unal has revealed Chelsea were interested in his signature over the summer, according to reports in the Daily Star.

The 18-year old forward arrived in Manchester for a relatively meagre £2m – before being shipped out on a two-year loan to Belgian outfit Genk.

‘One of the other teams that wanted me was Chelsea’, revealed the teenager before adding, ‘I decided to join Manchester City because they had shown more interest.’

The former Bursaspor forward became the youngest player to score in the Turkish top flight when he netted against titans Galatasaray at the tender age of 16, and recorded 24 goals in 25 games for the Turkish under-16 side back in 2013.

He joins a front line also including the likes of Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony, so has decided to join another club on loan in order to gain some valuable first team experience.

The 6ft1 starlet made 54 appearances for his previous club across two seasons, recording seven goals.

He has one cap for the senior Turkish national side.
