Man United boss slammed by new Chelsea man as he reveals snub

Pedro has criticised Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal for his treatment of former Barcelona teammate Victor Valdes, reports the Daily Mail.

The new Chelsea attacker had infamously been close to joining van Gaal at Old Trafford this summer, before the Blues swooped in to prize him away from his boyhood club.

The Spanish international is quoted as saying, ‘I don’t like seeing my teammates treated this way’, and described his former Nou Camp comrade as a ‘great friend.’

Valdes only arrived at the Theatre of Dreams in January this year, but has fallen out of favour with the Dutchman, and has been left out their Champions League squad.

He saw a move to Turkish side Besiktas break down over the summer, after being axed from the Red Devils’ pre-season tour of America.

Pedro would go on to evaluate the situation as ‘not fair’, as he revealed the reason he snubbed a move to Manchester.

‘I saw that United had not taken the next step’, in signing him and added his new club were ‘decisive’.

The £21m man scored on his Premier League debut against West Brom, earning a Man of the Match performance on his maiden outing.
