Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder has scrapped speculation that he is set to move to Chelsea in January.
The Dutch international is believed to be a favourite of Blues boss Jose Mourinho after enjoying, arguably, the finest years of his career to date under ‘The Special One’ at Inter Milan.
Upon the Portuguese coach’s second arrival at Stamford Bridge over the summer, rumours of a move for Sneijder immediately started.
Despite the playmaker having only joined Gala earlier this year, talk of a winter move to London has once again begun following comments from Holland manager Louis van Gaal – who prompted the 29-year-old to reunite with Mourinho to boost his form ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
But, Sneijder says that he is happy in Turkey and that he’s not planning to make a move to Chelsea.
“Everywhere Jose Mourinho goes they make some rumours about me following,” he told talkSPORT.
“Whatever club I’m at I will give 100 per cent, I love this club and I am not even thinking of leaving.
“It’s just rumours and you will see come January I will be linked with Chelsea again but I am staying here.
“Every transfer market I am apparently moving to one club or another but these are just rumours, I am happy and I like life here.”
Sneijder has also been the subject of rumours linking him with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool in recent years.
Chelsea fans, should Jose Mourinho attempt to set up a reunion with Wesley Sneijder?
