AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has dismissed rumours that Didier Drogba will be signing for them this month.
Drogba is looking for a new club after his disappointing spell in China last year and has been heavily linked with a move to Italy this month as he is desperate for a return to European football.
The Ivorian striker has been training with former club Chelsea to ensure his fitness levels do not drop, but no club is yet to make him a serious offer.
Juventus have also been rumoured to be interested in bringing the 34-year-old to Italy and he would be eligible to feature in European competitions for the rest of the season that could be a big draw for certain clubs.
Galliani has a clear vision when it comes to possible Milan purchases and signing a forward who turns 35 in a few weeks is certainly not part of it.
“We want a younger Milan and Italian,” Galliani told Gazzeta Sport.
“Drogba? I do not think that will be in Italy.”
