Alvaro Morata has become Chelsea’s main source of goals following the departure of Diego Costa.
The Spain international signed for Antonio Conte’s side in the summer from Real Madrid in a deal that is rumoured to be worth around £60m.
On the pitch, the 25-year-old has delivered by scoring eight goals in 13 appearances in all competitions so far.
Nowadays, high-profile footballers cannot get away with mixing in with the fans without getting spotted, and in some cases mobbed, by the people who adore them.
Morata is playing for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, so would be easily recognisable if he joined the supporters.
Well, the former Juventus forward has revealed that he does mingle with the fans without them knowing his true identity.
Morata has told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser that every now and again he walks home from Stamford Bridge after a game as his house is just five minutes from the ground.
“There are times when the match ends and the road is closed and I walk. I change my clothes, I take off Chelsea kit because if not it’s impossible, I put on a hat and go home. If we win the game I’ll take a beer for the road.”
