Mourinho hints at Chelsea return

José Mourinho

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has hinted that he may return to England and Chelsea in the summer.

The Portuguese manager was left deflated after his side were knocked out of the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund last night, who go on to the final at Wembley to play either Bayern Munich or Barcelona.

Mourinho told the press after the game that he doesn’t feel loved in Spain and that many people in the Spanish capital dislike him, a stark contrast to how the English media and fans see him.

The former Chelsea boss has been the bookies favourite to take the Stamford Bridge hot-seat next season for a long time now and a departure from Real Madrid is surely on the cards after last night’s result.

Barcelona are set to be La Liga champions once again and another season without a European final for the ‘Special One’ will urge him to return to Chelsea where the Champions League was the one trophy that alluded him in his first spell in West London.

“I know in England I am loved, I know I am loved by some clubs, especially one,” Mourinho told BBC Sport.

“I am loved by the fans and the media who treat me in a fair way.

“I know in Spain it is different because many people hate me.”
