New Chelsea boss favourite keen to scupper Mourinho’s Man United transfer plans

Antonio Conte is eager to beat Jose Mourinho to the signature of Roma’s Radja Nainggolan this summer if he’s named as Chelsea’s next permanent manager, according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italy coach thought to be the favourite to succeed Guus Hiddink this summer after holding talks with the London club regarding a switch to London after his Azzurri duties finish following EURO 2016.

This seemingly puts him ahead of Diego Simeone in the running, and reports claim that he’s already eyeing up potential additions, with Roma’s combative midfielder Nainggolan wanted.

The Belgium international is also thought to be on Jose Mourinho’s agenda should he step into the dugout at Manchester United.

Conte is believed to be a big fan of Nainggolan, who has been a huge hit in Serie A with Cagliari and Roma.

The 27-year-old would certainly add steel to Chelsea’s midfield, as he’s known for his willingness to tackle and his work-rate.
