Chelsea captain John Terry could well be handed a new deal at the club if Antonio Conte is hired as the Blues manager, The Mirror state.
The Italian is widely expected to be appointed as the Stamford Bridge outfit’s new boss after the Euro 2016 tournament, where he will lead his country at the tournament in France.
Conte, or whoever the new head coach is, will surely make a number of considerable changes to the playing squad to get the West London club back into silverware contention after a terrible season.
Terry is a club legend but is coming to the end of his career, with the Blues set to cut ties with the defender at the end of the current season.
However, Conte could well make a u-turn in terms of the club’s decision and offer the centre-half a new one-year deal according to the report.
Terry has stated that he would like to finish his career at Stamford Bridge in the past.
