As reported by The Daily Mail, Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante is adamant his future lies at Stamford Bridge after declaring the Blues his 'home', amidst transfer speculation.

What's the story?

If Chelsea are to get back to challenging for the league title next season they need to retain their best talent as well as invest in elite players this summer.

None have been more impressive for Antonio Conte's side over the last two seasons than N'Golo Kante.

As reported by The Daily Mail, that's led to transfer speculation, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain interested in his services when the transfer window opens.

However, it appears the French international is perfectly happy where he is.

As quoted by The Daily Mail, Kante said:

I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player. This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title. In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four.

Arguably the most important player in the first team right now, his desire to remain a Chelsea player is a major boost to the club, who won't need to worry about being drawn into transfer drama surrounding the 26-year-old.

How good is he?

Rated at £54m by Transfermarkt, the midfielder has had an incredible rise in English football over the last few seasons.

Signed by Leicester from Ligue 1 outfit Caen in 2015, he was absolutely integral to the Foxes' legendary title win, before performing even better for Chelsea the following year in another title win.

On his day he can dominate any midfield opposition in the world, possessing the stamina, ball-winning skills and awareness to be the perfect foil against attacking talent.

With the passion and drive to inspire his teammates to greater performances too, Chelsea have relied on him on multiple occasions since the summer of 2016, evident as recently as their extra-time FA Cup win at the weekend.

Keeping him is a must and it appears he feels the same way.
