Proof Chelsea fans don’t know what they’re talking about?

Chelsea fans regularly called ‘plastic’ as well as glory hunters, mostly because the increase in support for them since Roman Abramovich started pumping his billions in to the club in 2003.

It seemed as if Chelsea simply gained fans over night purely because they were suddenly mega-rich and winning silverware, which is probably the norm for most clubs who are bought my multi-billionaire business. Just look at how Man City’s home attendances went up soon after they became the richest club in the world in 2008. That said, it could happen to any club. Fans generally flock to the successful clubs.

So talkSPORT decided to take to the streets surrounding Stamford Bridge to see what Chelsea’s so-called ‘fanatics’ thought of the transfer rumours linked with their the Blues in January – although every player they were asked doesn’t even exist.

And it’s no surprise that almost every fan questioned on camera claimed to know about the players mentioned and that they would seriously add something to Jose Mourinho’s side.

Have a watch of the two videos below. Hang your heads in shame, Chelsea fans…
