At 31-years-old, Pedro’s ability to regularly influence Premier League matches is on the wane. Meanwhile, Willian’s form for Chelsea so far this season has been patchy at best and all too often the Brazilian has let games pass him by altogether.
These two factors, along with the Blues’ lack of a prolific centre-forward, has led to Maurizio Sarri’s side being over reliant upon the end product of Eden Hazard. Therefore, it would not be surprising if the manager sought to replace Willian and Pedro in the coming transfer windows.
Tutto Mercato Web recently reported that the west London outfit are interested in securing the services of AC Milan attacker Suso in January.
The 24-year-old 2-cap Spain international would certainly add an injection of creativity and dynamism to Chelsea’s attacking contingent. However, suspicions remain over his ability to perform at the elite level of the game.
What’s more, his arrival at Stamford Bridge could hamper the development of exciting young talents such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount.
That being said, 82% of the Chelsea fans we polled stated that they would consider Suso to be an upgrade on Willian and would therefore support a move to sign him in January. See the full results below.
