Reports linking Juventus maestro Miralem Pjanic with Chelsea have lingered while Mauricio Sarri’s appointment has stalled.
With the Italian champions reportedly closing in on a monster deal for superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, they are likely to need to make a major sale to balance the books and Pjanic is valued at £58.5m by Transfermarkt, and could fit the bill in that respect.
One of the main sticking points at Stamford Bridge last season was the club’s decision to sell Nemanja Matic to Manchester United and replace him with Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko in midfield, which was a major factor in the drop off in quality following their title win.
So, as the fallout from that looks as if it will eventually cost Conte his job – although it is yet to be confirmed – we asked Chelsea fans whether they would want Pjanic in as an upgrade for the ageing Cesc Fabregas.
