Chelsea head to Old Trafford to meet with former boss Jose Mourinho this Sunday and Antonio Conte will have a choice to make at the back when it comes down to Antonio Rüdiger or Gary Cahill.

The Blues, who usually play with a back three, will most definitely have César Azpilicueta on the right, while Andreas Christensen will likely keep his place in the middle despite his error against Barcelona on Tuesday.

That leaves the left being vacant and the Italian will have to decide who to utilise there, with the Germany defender and the experienced Cahill set to compete for the final centre-back slot.

Rüdiger started the match against the Catalan giants, but the 58-cap England international will be fresher and is more adept for the bigger games within the Premier League.

We asked Chelsea fans who they would prefer at the back between the two choices and our poll showed an alarming number of supporters had the same opinion. 88% of those polled were in favour of the former AS Roma man to retain his place on the left of the three for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Cahill remains a key figure in the Chelsea dressing room but it's clear he's lost the backing of the supporters, having struggled for form this season, and arguably even Conte, who elected Rudiger instead for the huge clash with Barcelona in midweek.

So Chelsea fans, do you think Cahill's Chelsea career is coming to an abrupt end? Let us know by commenting below...
