Revealed: Majority of Chelsea fans want Conte to switch to four at the back

Chelsea have become almost synonymous with a three-man defence during Antonio Conte’s spell in charge, the switch to 3-4-3 last season inspiring a 13-game winning run that essentially secured the Blues the Premier League title.

But the formation change, as successful as it may have been last season, was little more than a means to an end – a way of getting Chelsea’s campaign back on track after losing to two key divisional rivals in Liverpool and Arsenal.

And the Blues’ results in 2018 haven’t been quite so spectacular, winning six and losing six of their games thus far.

With that in mind, we recently asked Chelsea fans whether it’s time for the west Londoners to return to four at the back and the response was an emphatic yes, with 73% voting in favour of the switch.
