Antonio Rudiger has seen better days.

Even though his 2018/19 season was really good, it ended with a rather unfortunate injury that kept him sidelined from April onwards, maybe even preventing him from entering the new campaign fit and firing.

He had to undergo surgery on his left knee meniscus after being carried out of the 1-1 draw against Manchester United on April 28. The Blues then stated that his return is scheduled for early next season but we are yet to have any sort of official update.

Be that as it may, the player has now taken to Instagram to inform the fans of his recovery progress and it seems that he is truly giving his all in order to return back as soon as possible.

Despite that huge injury, Rudiger played a total of 33 games in the Premier League last season, missing only five games of the domestic campaign, as well as the Europa League final of course.

Even though he couldn't participate in Baku against Arsenal though, he did help the team in four previous matches in that competition.
