Serie A giants open to blockbuster Chelsea deal, want £3m more than current Blues bid

Chelsea have been told to increase their bid by £3m by Roma for German international Antonio Rudiger, according to Il Tempo (via the Daily Express.)

The imposing central defender only made his loan move in the Italian capital a permanent deal earlier this month, though the Giallorossi are understood to be open to the prospect of a quick-fire sale.

The 23-year old has been linked with both the Blues and Liverpool, with Antonio Conte said to be especially keen on bringing him in as he plots his West London overhaul.

Roma teammates Radja Nainggolan and Miralem Pjanic have also been touted as potential targets for the current Italian national team coach prior to his official takeover.

It is claimed that the West London giants have bid up to £17m for the former Stuttgart ace, while the Serie A titans hold out for close to £20m, having only recently shelled out £7.7m for the player.
