Should this Chelsea star be banned for his actions against Liverpool?

Liverpool and Chelsea played out an intense Capital One Cup Semi-Final last night, with the Blues grabbing an extra time winner via a Branislav Ivanovic header.

However the game was marred by two incidents involving Diego Costa, who appeared to stamp on Emre Can and then Martin Skrtel.

The Spain international was reportedly involved in a bust-up with Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson in the Anfield tunnel last week, with the media focusing on the two ahead of the clash.

But Costa seems to already be making more enemies after stepping on Emre Can’s shin by the touchline, before the 27-year-old decided to follow through on Martin Skrtel’s foot after the centre-back slid the ball away from the former Atletico Madrid forward.

Now Costa is set to be investigated by the FA over the two clashes, and the Brazil-born star is facing retrospective action which could well come in the form of a ban.

Do you think he was lucky not to see red and stay on the pitch last night?
