N’Golo Kante has had quite the year as his quality performances guiding Leicester City to the Premier League title last season and earning himself a spot in the France set-up for the European Championships, where Les Bleus were defeated in the final.
Kante moved on this summer, transferring to Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, and has continued his excellent form for his new side, helping the West London giants establish themselves as firm favourites to win the title.
That puts Kante on course to become the first player to win back-to-back Premier League titles with two different clubs, which would be an immense achievement, and his dominant midfield performances this year have been displayed by one impressive stat.

With more interceptions in the Premier League in 2016 than anyone else, Kante has been a maestro of the midfield for both the Foxes and the Blues. With Leicester now struggling without him and Chelsea back to their best with the Frenchman in the side, it’s clear Kante is a key-part of the success both sides have enjoyed this calendar year.
