The Chelsea XI Conte must pick vs. Bournemouth
This fine Boxing Day, Chelsea play host to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side hoping to emulate Liverpool’s twelve-game winning run recorded during their 2013/14 title pursuit.
Antonio Conte’s side have not dropped any points since September 24th’s defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and now the Blues are firm favourites to overcome a resurgent Bournemouth side.
The Blues go into the contest without star striker Diego Costa and midfield master N’Golo Kante, so Antonio Conte must make some changes to his winning formula to ensure the gap at the business end remains six points.
Indeed, as witnessed against Liverpool, Bournemouth are capable of hurting the Premier League’s best teams with their attacking prowess. Unlike Chelsea, however, the Cherries are unable to keep clean-sheets.
Last season’s fixture saw Bournemouth record a historic win over the then Premier League champions, but Conte is unlikely to allow lightening to strike twice.
Here is the team the Italian must pick to secure a victory…
