The FIVE possible ‘transfer destinations’ for Juan Mata

Jose Mourinho has continually quashed allegations that Juan Mata will be on the move in January, but actions speak louder than words and the Chelsea midfielder has played just 307 minutes of Premier League football so far this season.

Perhaps most importantly, the Spaniard did not feature in a vital title clash with Manchester City at the weekend, and he appears to have been overtaken in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge by summer signings Andre Schurrle and Willian.

With plenty of potential suitors out there for the attacking midfielder, and the 2014 World Cup just around the corner, we could see Mata force a move in the coming transfer window in a bid to bolster his chances of making it into Vincente del Bosque’s Spain squad.

Bearing that in mind, we’ve come up with a shortlist of FIVE possible clubs the 25 year-old should consider switching allegiances to after Christmas.
