Thibaut Courtois is Europe’s toughest keeper to beat

Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday evening, destroying last season’s champions Leicester City with a 3-0 victory at the King Power stadium.

The Foxes barely had a sniff at goal all evening, dominated by a Blues side desperate to pick up a victory after a tough couple of weeks on and off the pitch.

Marcos Alonso and Pedro fired Chelsea to victory and Conte’s side continue to be red hot favourites to lift the league trophy in May.

A man integral to their success this season has been Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper is often cited as one of Europe’s best goalkeepers and this stat from Squawka proves it.

Not conceding against Leicester means no-one has kept more clean sheets in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season than Courtois.

It demonstrates not just the influence Courtois has on his team, marshalling his defence and making excellent stops when required, but also Chelsea’s general dominance on the rest of the division.

If they can continue the trend of clean sheets then there will be no stopping them on an inevitable march to the Premier League title.
