For those of you who may have been dead to the world for the past few days, the rumours suggest that Chelsea’s main man and top scorer is destined for pastures new.
When I say pastures new, I mean China and a fat wage packet.
It really is hard to keep up with the whole thing, as stories seem to be flying all over the place, but, it’s widely being claimed that Tianjin Quanjian will offer the Spaniard an astonishing £30m-a-year in wages, as well as a huge fee to tempt the Blues to sell.
Antonio Conte has since denied knowledge of a bid being prepared, insisting the striker won’t part ways with the club, yet isn’t the end of it, however. Add into the mix that Costa was left out of the club’s most recent fixture against Leicester City over an alleged dispute with the club in regards to his fitness, and the fact he is now training alone, and you really do have one big mess.
With, it seems, nobody at the club having even the foggiest idea of what is about to happen, it should be all systems go for Chelsea and their transfer experts this January to prepare for such an astronomical loss.
