Although billed as the 'biggest game of the season' few expected this to be the most entertaining game of the season. It wasn't.

Jose Mourinho tried to limit the space and largely succeeded in this tight affair. Here are the THREE Things we Learned in CHelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester City:

 Courtois is human

Thibaut Courtois has been impeccable since joining Chelsea proper this season but let his human side show against Manchester City – the Belgian looked lost in his attempt to clear away a City cross. Some will use this as damning evidence in the De Gea v Courtois debate but one shouldn't draw too large a conclusion from what is an isolated incident.

Remy should be playing regularly

It was only Loic Remy's third Premier League goal of the season but then the Frenchman was only making his second start. Remy would have undoubtedly been preferred to any of the Chelsea strikers from last term but can't dislodge the imperious Diego Costa. As this is the case, Remy should really be looking elsewhere for first team football. He's far too good not to.

Toure conspicuous in absence

Charlie Nicholas got into a spot of bother confusing Fernando and Fernandinho but the fact of the matter is they are two very similar footballers. Without Yaya Toure, City lack dynamism and direct running in the middle of the park. And without this, David Silva doesn't enjoy the space in which he so thrives.

Toure may not have had his best season to date, but even an off-form Yaya adds more to Pellegrini's side than either Fernando or Fernandinho.
