Twitter erupts as Chelsea ace dusts off cobwebs to punish Liverpool

Safe to say, it has not been a good season for Eden Hazard.

Struggling for fitness, form and at times, motivation, it took almost exactly a calendar year since claiming the 2015 PFA Player of the Year award for the Belgium international to find his first Premier League goal of the 2015/16 season – severely impacting Chelsea’s fortunes in the process.

But whether it’s the incentive of finding his best form before the European championships in France or perhaps even sealing a lucrative move to a foreign club during the summer transfer window, April and May have unexpectedly¬†seen the winger-forward back to his world-class best.

It started with a resounding brace against Bournemouth and was followed up with a sensational second-half display against Tottenham Hotspur – including an equalising goal that ensured Leicester City this season’s Premier League title.
