Twitter rejoices as cult hero Chelsea star sensationally marks debut with goal

So, it finally happened. And boy, it happened.

After 64 days, Alexandre Pato made his Chelsea debut after being brought on in place of the injured Loic Remy.

What a momentous day. The former AC Milan prodigy has been a curious case at Stamford Bridge after seemingly calling an end to his career in Europe by moving back to South America in 2012.

Fans have been dying to see the 26-year old in full flow since arriving on loan from Corinthians in January and have constantly been disappointed.

However, a miserable day at a miserable Villa Park was lit up by the introduction of ‘The Little Duck’, whose status as a cult hero has increased with every passing day without a ball being kicked.

After being involved in the opening goal, the Selecao star, first won, then converted a penalty to double his side’s lead.

By scoring from the spot on his debut, such status will only have solidified. The Brazilian’s strike has sent the Blues faithful on Twitter into meltdown.

A day they never thought would see come.
