Willian admits he never wanted to leave Chelsea, fans react

During the summer transfer window, Chelsea winger Willian was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian international was touted as a possible target for Manchester United.

Also, Sky Sports News reported in July that Chelsea rejected three bids for Willian from Barcelona.

In the end, the winger stayed put, and now he has rubbished suggestions that he was seeking a transfer.

In an interview with the club’s official website, Willian admitted that he wants to stay another five years at the Premier League club.

The 30-year-old has been a Chelsea player since 2013 and has gone on to score 44 goals and create 40 assists in 241 appearances in all competitions.

This season so far under new manager Maurizio Sarri, Willian has started three of the club’s four top-flight matches and has bagged one assist.

On Reddit, some Chelsea fans have posted their thoughts on the Brazilian’s comments about his future.
