Winger edging towards Chelsea exit

Victor Moses looks likely to leave Chelsea permanently this summer, with reports from The Telegraph having revealed that he rejected the chance to return to Stamford Bridge in January.

The Nigerian star is currently on loan at fellow Premier League side Stoke City after failing to make an impact in west London.

Moses was signed from Wigan in 2012 in a £9m deal, but his struggles at Stamford Bridge led to a loan spell at Liverpool last season and now a second temporary stint away from the club with the Potters.

However, before landing Juan Cuadrado on transfer deadline day over the winter, Jose Mourinho attempted to bring the pacey wide-man back to boost his title push.

But Moses spurned his advances, with playing regularly after a difficult few years his major aim.

Stoke are desperate to keep him permanently, and Chelsea may well opt to sell for below the £9m paid for him after recouping sizable fees for his two loan deals.
