Football Manager 2019 was released on November 2nd this year, and here at Football FanCast we’ve delved into the depths of the most detailed version of the game ever to find some of the best wonderkids available on your Chelsea save.

FM19 comes with a raft of new features and updates. Set your tactical philosophy, rage at a VAR reviewed decision or, most importantly for our young stars, use the brand new training schedule to take a hands-on approach to developing individuals, or your team as a whole.

Whether those youngsters are already described by the media as wonderkids, or if they need a helping hand to reach their potential, bringing a player from the youth team and moulding him into a first-team star has to be one of the most satisfying achievements in FM, especially as it seems that path is such a difficult one for Chelsea players to take in real life.

So, who are the young players you should be carefully tracking in the Blues' squad? Click through our gallery to find out.

17-year-old Gilmour is a talented central midfielder in the U18s setup at Chelsea. Until 2017 though, the Scotsman was with Rangers and trained with the first team squad at the age of 15 before turning down a pro contract.

Despite all the star names returning from World Cup duty at Chelsea in the summer, youngster Hudson-Odoi was the man who stood out in pre-season. The tricky winger is never afraid to go at his man (his flair and dribbling are both rated 15 by FM) but his only start so far this year was in the Community Shield. Will you take a different approach to Maurizio Sarri and throw him in to the first-team, or does his game need to develop in training first? You decide.

It’s unusual that players become a regular for their country before they become a fixture in their club side, but that’s exactly what has happened with central defender/defensive midfielder Ampadu. Along with Hudson-Odoi, he is one of the only top youngsters not to have been sent out on loan by the Blues. We say follow Ryan Giggs’ example and get him in that side.

Mount is currently on loan with Frank Lampard’s Derby County and is tearing up the Championship. So much so in fact that he recently earned his first call-up to the England senior squad.
