Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Clement Chantome has revealed that he would consider a summer move to the Premier League.
The French midfielder’s days at the Parc des Prince appear to be numbered, with a wide range of big-name players already ahead of him in the fight for regular first-team football.
His status within the squad could deteriorate further this summer, with the Parisians always in the market for world stars as they look to build a team capable of competing with the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid on the continental stage.
As a result, Chantome is looking to move on this summer, and has confessed that although remaining in France is his preference he would consider proposals from either the Premier League or Bundesliga.
“After last season, I feel that I have experienced what I wanted to with the club,” he is quoted by Sky Sports.
“It has become easier to make a decision. I want to play more and play in big matches. I want to experience something else. PSG is not my whole life.
“My ambitions? To play in the Champions League, and big matches. I also want to be a candidate for the French national team again.
“The best solution could be to stay in Ligue 1. But England and Germany would be attractive as well.”
With the midfielder’s desire to play top level European football his English options are rather limited, but the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal or Everton could potentially match his ambition.
Could Clement Chantome be coming to England?
