Confirmed: Moyes’ Sunderland XI to battle Koeman’s Everton

Sunderland boss David Moyes welcomes his old side Everton to the Stadium of Light this evening, looking to get off the mark as Black Cats boss.

Though both the Scot and the Toffees have somewhat struggled since his departure in 2013, it is the latter who look quickest to emerge from the proverbial ashes.

Backed by huge investment and under the stewardship of Ronald Koeman, the Merseyside outfit are unbeaten thus far following his arrival.

He has Seamus Coleman available, a huge boost to any side, despite the form of Marcus Holgate.

For the home side, a strong performance against Southampton prior to the international break showed signs of encouragement.

Though they endured a relatively frustrating transfer window, new signing Jason Denayer will have to wait to be handed his debut for the North East outfit.

With Moyes looking to avoid yet another relegation battle for the club, his meeting with his former club could prove a difficult obstacle to navigate.

Below are the confirmed sides for tonight.
