The phone at Selhurst Park will likely ring constantly throughout the summer transfer window, with Crystal Palace surely doing their best to keep Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Wilfried Zaha, both of whom had excellent 2018/19 campaigns and look very capable of playing for a top side.
If a Manchester City or a Manchester United come in with the big bucks we all know they have, though, the Eagles could lose one of their star assets. Fortunately, the latter’s reported first offer for right-back Wan-Bissaka falls well short of the mark and Palace fans are furious.
According to The Evening Standard, the Red Devils are set to test the waters with a £25m bid, although this is likely to be scoffed at by Steve Parish and co, with Wan-Bissaka surely valued at near double that figure if not more.
Which player with “no potential” has just been named Crystal Palace’s worst ever January signing? Find out in the video below…
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best one-on-one defenders in the Premier League and has impressed greatly with his excellent timing in the tackle and athleticism down the right flank since breaking through to the first team in early 2018.
Here’s what the SE25 faithful had to say about the eight-figure offer on Twitter…
We should blanket refuse to negotiate with them any further if they put in a derisory bid like that.
Obviously, any player would leave for the right cash, but It's shouldn't be anywhere near the negotiating table going forwards.

Because they think we are still one of those teams that accept any money offered

£25m ahahah I bet they’re gonna include Young, Smalling & Jones as part of the deal which makes the bid £20m.

The utter disrespect shown towards us at this time is all to see.
Hold our nerve, don’t give in to the pressure. We do not need to sell either. If they come up with an offer WE cannot refuse then fine, but until then, NO.

Let’s bid £5 million for Rashford see how they like that!!!

Joke bids. He and Zaha have fresh contracts with years to go. No reason for us to sell players for half our proposed value. Imagine this nonsense with Van Dijk when he was in Southampton.
