Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Nikola Vlasic told Sport24 (via Championat) that he doesn't believe his teammate Fedor Chalov would be well suited to the Eagles' playing style.

The south Londoners have been linked with the Russia U21 international - The Daily Star believe that the club will go back in for the CSKA Moscow forward this summer - although Vlasic, formerly of Everton, doesn't believe Roy Hodgson's style of football would suit the attacker too well.

He said: I don’t think a team from the bottom half of the Premier League would be the right move for him. He’s a striker, he needs support. He needs to have chances to score goals. Palace aren’t an attacking team, so their style won’t suit Fedor."

In truth, Vlasic is not wrong.

Crystal Palace have scored the least goals in the Premier League this term, having netted only 22 times in 25 outings.

Hodgson's men have also created the least big chances in England's top-flight this season, with only 19 to show for their efforts - Newcastle are the side closest to them in 19th, although even the Magpies have created five more big chances.

Chalov has scored six goals in 27 appearances this season, which isn't great in all honesty - however, that would be enough to have him as the Eagles' joint-top scorer alongside Jordan Ayew, who also has six goals.

Let's see how the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter reacted to his comments...

To kick off the reaction, HLTCO sarcastically said that it's "nice to see our reputation is spreading to Russia" - this fan also asked if those who hold the Eagles close to them are allowed to have any good news at all these days.

Joe Walker echoed that sentiment by laughing, and also saying that "word is spreading" about Crystal Palace's shortcomings.

Elsewhere, these two supporters both agreed with Vlasic.

Nick said that "he's not wrong" while @finalfoofighter added that the comments were "bang on the money".

Lastly, these two Palace fans pointed the finger at Hodgson.

Someone's got to own them: Who do these incredibly unwanted PL records belong to?

Domenico said that the reasons players don't come to Selhurst Park is "down to the manager" while Luke simply tweeted "Roy out" - short and sweet.
