Crystal Palace boss wants Celtic star and French forward

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is set to be handed significant funds for the January transfer window and has set his sights on Joe Ledley and Bafetimbi Gomis, according to reports from The Mirror.

The former Stoke boss has made a huge impact since taking over from Ian Holloway at Selhurst Park, with the Boxing Day win over Aston Villa taking them over the 14 point mark.

Rumours suggest that that tally was agreed to be a trigger for significant funds for the winter period to allow Pulis to make serious additions to his squad.

Celtic midfielder Ledley is believed to be a top target for the Eagles, with the Welshman available for around £600,000.

The former Cardiff man is a key player for the Glasgow side, but Palace are confident that he can be lured south of the border.

Lyon’s Gomis is also on their radar.

The burly French forward is also being linked with Tottenham and Newcastle, but Pulis is hopeful that the lure of guaranteed action may be enough to convince him to join the South London side.

Gomis’ contract expires at the end of the season, and he is said to be available for around £5m.
