So, it's finally upon us - the end of the decade.

In Crystal Palace's case, the start of the ten-year period began with the Eagles entering administration towards the end of January 2010, a moment that severely threatened the existence of the club and also cost them their best player and manager in Victor Moses and Neil Warnock respectively - Darren Ambrose's crucial goal away to Sheffield United on the final day of that campaign may have saved Palace from extinction.

Then, the south Londoners confirmed that they had exited administration in August of that same year after Steve Parish and others purchased the club, and it's safe to say that it has been a wild ride since then.

Let's take a look at who we think should make up the Eagles' Team of the Decade...

Julian Speroni - Who else? The Argentine spent the majority of the decade in between the sticks for Palace, managing to record a club-record amount of clean sheets (112) while also becoming the goalkeeper with the most appearances in the Eagles' history - no-one else was ever in with a shout for this position.

Patrick van Aanholt - Now, this one may be a questionable decision seeing as the Dutchman isn't always amazing, but due to a shortage of quality left-backs at Selhurst Park throughout this decade, he deserves his place for his vital goalscoring contributions. For example, it was his stoppage-time strike that secured Palace's first ever win against Manchester United in the Premier League earlier this term.

Damien Delaney - Having been on the brink of quitting football altogether and starting triathlons, Delaney's story is incredible. The Irishman signed on a free transfer in 2012 and went on to help Palace to promotion - leaving him in tears at Wembley - while he also started an FA Cup final on his way to making 193 appearances.

Scott Dann - Having signed midway through the 2013/14 season, Dann is arguably one of the best signings in club history and is arguably one of the best centre-backs in Palace's history. He has recorded over 150 appearances for Palace, scoring 15 goals.

Joel Ward - Signed in the same summer as Delaney, Ward arrived for just £400k and is still starting games today. The right-back is a cult hero at Selhurst Park, making a goal-line clearance in the dying moments of the playoff final as well as racking up 231 appearances.

Mile Jedinak - What an inspiration. The dominant Aussie arrived in July 2011 and went on to skipper Palace to promotion, numerous Premier League survivals and also an FA Cup final, while making 179 appearances for the club. Jedinak is a bona-fide Palace legend.

Yohan Cabaye - The Frenchman's shock arrival signalled a significant moment in Palace's modern history, shifting the south Londoners' from a lowly relegation battler who previously failed to have much pulling power to a competitive Premier League outfit - he made 109 appearances for the club.

Jason Puncheon - One of Palace's first signings following promotion, Puncheon scored a number of massive goals for the Eagles to keep them in the top-flight, while he also gave supporters arguably their finest moment in recent history when he scored in the FA Cup final - we won't talk about what happened next.

Wilfried Zaha - Again, like Speroni, there's nobody else who gets close. Zaha is probably Palace's Player of the Decade in truth, spending almost the entirety of the ten-year spell at the club, reaching 339 appearances, becoming Palace's all-time top Premier League goalscorer while also leading the side as talisman. Oh, and the small matter of his playoff semi-final double away to Brighton.

Glenn Murray - Despite joining rivals Brighton, it's hard to look past Murray. The Englishman netted 30 Championship goals in 2012/13 to fire Palace to promotion, and scored 47 goals in 126 appearances for the club.

Yannick Bolasie - Also signed in 2012 along with Ward and Delaney, Bolasie embodied Palace's rise from Championship strugglers to Premier League entertainers, and also became the club's record sale when joining Everton for £25m - in total, the DR Congo winger made 144 appearances.
