The England international is due to move to Manchester United in the coming weeks, which will leave the Eagles without, arguably, their most important player from their promotion winning campaign as they embark on life in the Premier League.
Manager Ian Holloway is aware that he must replace the wide-man, and has highlighted Ukra as one of his preferred candidates.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Portuguese outfit Rio Ave, where he impressed.
However, his first-team chances are likely to be limited at Porto next season, which has led to speculation that he could be allowed to move on.
The Estadio do Dragao-based side are reportedly willing to accept offers in the region of £3million, a more than manageable sum for newly promoted Palace.
Ukra has been a Porto player since 2001, but has only made a handful of first-team appearances, spending most of his time away from the club on loan.
Despite this, he has still earned recognition on the international stage, winning 16 U-21 caps for Portugal.
Palace are also said to be tracking Blackpool winger Tom Ince, who is wanted by Liverpool and Tottenham.
Can Ukra fill Wilfried Zaha’s shoes? Or do Crystal Palace need a big name player?
