Crystal Palace fans struggled to compose themselves during their 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, understandably being left angered at their team's lack of ability.

It was one decision, in particular, from manager Roy Hodgson that almost sent some supporters over the edge.

In the 64th minute, he decided to bring Max Meyer off, a player who had been playing out of position on the flank. On in his place came Jeffrey Schlupp.

The consolation was that it would at least get a wide player attacking down the channels but it didn't please Palace supporters one bit.

A fan couldn't help but think of relegation with their reaction whilst another told the club to liquidate.

Hodgson's substitute was deemed an awful decision by a further individual as one supporter was concerned by the lack of common sense.

Palace struggled to find much rhythm as striker Christian Benteke was restricted to just one shot. The result was hardly surprising given the fact that Meyer wasn't playing in his favoured number ten role.

It was a decision that meant star man Wilfried Zaha played alongside the big Belgian as the Eagles failed to find the back of the net.

Here's what Palace fans said when Meyer was taken off.
