[ad_pod ]Lots of Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to pile the praise on Gary Cahill, after the centre-back helped make history on his debut for the club.The 33-year-old arrived on a free transfer this summer, and was making his first appearance for the club against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Cahill was heroic at the back alongside Martin Kelly, making a massive six clearances and one block to help the Eagles record a first ever Premier League win over United - no player made more clearances other than his centre-back partner in Kelly who recorded eight.
Cahill's efforts also saw the south Londoners become the first team ever to score a stoppage time winner against the Red Devils at Old Trafford - it will certainly be a debut to remember for the former England international as two pieces of history were made.
