Crystal Palace fans react as Andros Townsend hits back at the club’s official account

Some Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react as Andros Townsend hit back at the club’s official account after a tweet was posted of an incident from the 2-1 over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The clip shows Wilfried Zaha twisting Ashley Young inside out on a few occasions, in which the United man slips due to the Ivorian’s skill – he does, however, end up blocking the cross.

Palace’s official account posted a tweet captioned ‘Wilf had him dancing’ in what seemed like a harmless post, but Townsend hit back by defending Young and giving him credit for eventually blocking the cross after what happened.

Naturally, some Palace fans reacted to this. A few supporters were quick to point out Young’s dive against them from a game back in 2014 at Old Trafford, whilst another simply thought Townsend’s tweet was a ‘bit weird’.
