Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after they discovered that Burnley goalkeeper Adam Legzdins had scored a late equaliser against the Eagles' U23 side on Thursday.

The south Londoners went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Brandon Aveiro and Rob Street, although they were pegged back in the most unlikely of circumstances right at the death - the 95th minute to be exact.

After Ali Koiki pulled a goal back with his ninth strike of the campaign, Palace were forced to settle for a point as 32-year-old Legzdins rose highest to nod home a stoppage-time corner, in what can be considered as a freak event.

Burnley's U23 side remain unbeaten this term, but a few Palace fans on Twitter saw the funny side of it at least.

One simply posted some laughing emojis, whereas another said that it was "typical Palace".

Let's take a look at some more of the Twitter reaction...
