Brighton shocked many in the footballing world when they gave Chris Hughton the boot last Monday with Premier League survival secured.

However, with the Seagulls having failed to win since their 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace back in March, the chiefs at the Amex Stadium can be forgiven for thinking a change of direction was needed.
