Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after they discovered news of some injury issues ahead of Monday evening's game against Brighton.

Roy Hodgson revealed in his pre-match press conference that Jeffrey Schlupp - the match-winner in the last game at Selhurst Park - will definitely miss the meeting with Graham Potter's men, while Joel Ward will also be absent against the Seagulls.

The former England manager went on to say that there might be more names to add to that list, although Hodgson was unwilling to reveal anymore on that particular topic.

Incidentally, the south Londoners will also be without Mamadou Sakho as he sits out the second game of a three-match ban, following his straight red card against Bournemouth.

Palace's backline is looking particularly ravaged ahead of the match, with Patrick van Aanholt also a doubt, and the number of injuries has sparked discussion amongst some supporters on Twitter.

This particular supporter certainly didn't sound happy with Hodgson's update, saying that they're thinking of just staying at home instead of travelling to the match.

These two fans also continued the displeased feeling, with one complaining that this kind of injury crisis happens "every season" and that they're sure the squad is "made of polystyrene", whereas another simply said "we're finished" after hearing the news.

Furthermore, another pair of supporters didn't sound too pleased with the 72-year-old's injury update.

One fan kept it short and sweet by simply saying "eek", while the other said that Monday's game is "going to be a struggle" after discovering the amount of injuries Palace had.

Lastly, 'John' said that it is time for Jairo Riedewald to shine in the absence of others - the Dutchman came off the bench against Watford last time out after Schlupp was forced to withdraw from the game through injury.
