Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to criticise club captain Luka Milivojevic, after he picked up a straight red card in the FA Cup third round defeat to Derby on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles were already trailing 1-0 after former Palace striker Chris Martin netted a first-half opener, before the Serbia international became embroiled in a heated incident with Tom Huddlestone.

Referee Michael Oliver made VAR history by becoming the first official to check the pitch-side monitor following the pair's scuffle, and promptly upgraded Milivojevic's yellow card to a red.

Oliver's decision now means that the former Anderlecht man will miss the next three games through suspension, which isn't really ideal for Roy Hodgson given the woeful injury crisis he has on his hands - to sum things up, midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate had to play at centre-back against the Rams.

Palace's No.4 certainly let his teammates down against Derby, and his actions have angered a number of Eagles supporters on Twitter who seriously aren't happy with the Serb for what he did...

There was no holding back from our first supporter Chris Waters, who called Milivojevic a "disgrace" before saying that he has "massively let the club down".

Another negative adjective was on show here with Sam branding the 28-year-old's actions as "absolutely pathetic".

The criticism of Milivojevic continued with Bradley calling him a "Poundland Jedinak" who "can't lead, can't pass" and also "can't control a game" - this fan also said that he'd be happy to see the midfielder leave in the summer.

Elsewhere, these two supporters mentioned Milivojevic's captaincy.

The first fan - George - called the Serb "useless" before demanding that an "actual captain" is brought in.

Another fan named Michael called the former Olympiakos man a "liability" and suggested that the captaincy be handed to Gary Cahill.

Lastly, 'Reubs' said that Milivojevic's moment of madness was "completely idiotic" - fair enough, in truth.
