Crystal Palace's Alexander Sorloth got some minutes in for Norway on Monday night as they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners over Cyprus in the Nations League, but the 6ft 4in striker had little to be pleased with beyond that.

The former Midtjylland hitman spurned a golden chance to score his side's third after coming on in the 71st minute. Martin Odegaard broke away from the Cyprus defence but chose to go alone; as the youngster's shot was denied by the advancing goalkeeper, the ball fell kindly to Sorloth who had all of the net to aim for from 12 yards.

Somehow though, he skied his effort and fell to his knees in dismay. This is a familiar sight for Palace fans, who have seen their number nine miss many a similar chance this season as he remains in search of his first league goal since an £8m move in January.

The Eagles travel to Old Trafford this weekend to face Manchester United but will have little faith in their strikeforce after this. Here's how frustrated fans reacted on Twitter...
