Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club was linked with a move for Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, who has attracted the Eagles' interest after a loan deal for Dominic Solanke reportedly collapsed.

The south London club were interested in the Belgian forward back in 2016 and had even agreed a £31.6m fee with Marseille for his services, before Chelsea hijacked the deal.

Given that Jordan Ayew became the first Palace striker to score a Premier League goal from open play since last January on Wednesday, fans of the Eagles are understandably excited at the news of a fresh swoop for the man who has spent this season on loan with Valencia.
