Crystal Palace fans slam Hodgson after West Ham draw

Wilfried Zaha rescued a point for Crystal Palace in an action-packed clash with West Ham on Saturday, but fans are absolutely fuming at Roy Hodgson’s team selection.

Crystal Palace have some of the best players outside the top six, but once again Hodgson’s conservative team selection cost his side the chance to grab all three points on Saturday.

West Ham have not won a game since their 1-0 triumph over Arsenal at the beginning of January, but the Hammers went in front in the first half thanks to a Mark Noble penalty.

Hodgson changed things around in the second half, introducing Michy Batshuayi for Christian Benteke and Max Meyer for James McArthur, who had produced one of the misses of the season earlier in the match.

The Eagles were the better team from that point onwards, and the positive influence of Meyer and Batshuayi, together with Zaha, heaped pressure on West Ham’s rear-guard.

The Hammers held on for a point though, and Palace fans are crucifying the manager for not starting two extremely talented players in Meyer and Batshuayi.
