Crystal Palace are interested in signing Werder Bremen winger Milot Rashica in order to bolster their attacking depth, as reported by Calciomercato.

What's the word, then?

The Eagles are struggling for depth on the flanks, and have been forced to use wingers Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend up front for large chunks of the current campaign which has weakened their wide positions even more.

Thankfully for Roy Hodgson, the return to fitness of Christian Benteke and the January arrival of Michy Batshuayi on loan has allowed him to restore Zaha and Townsend back to their natural positions on the flanks - behind the duo, however, there is little cover.

Bakary Sako, who was released in the summer at the expiry of his contract, was bought back to the club in January to help add depth to the wings, but his deal is a short-term one and should not halt Palace's search for another winger in the market.

What kind of player is Rashica?

The Kosovo international is a blisteringly fast player who can beat his man and deliver a cross within the blink of an eye.

Werder Bremen picked him up from Dutch outfit Vitesse, where he impressed with his vision and trickery - the 22-year-old notched 10 league assists in 2016/17 in 31 starts.

Palace are famed for their flamboyant wingers, such as Yannick Bolasie and Vince Hilaire in the past, and it only takes one look at Rashica to tell that he will fit right in at Selhurst Park.

Rashica appears to be developing into somewhat of a goal threat in recent weeks too, scoring four of his five goals this season since the turn of the year. If anything, this is encouraging for potential suitors such as the south London outfit, as he looks to be improving with every game that goes by - the Eagles would be wise to snap him up soon before others latch on to his good form.
